    Girl for a competing juco a couple of years ago: Stacy Grindstaff. It seems like an almost perfect stripper name.

    There is a family out here with the last name Tampon (pronounced differently than you might expect). Still, it can make headlines tricky.

    Adam Carolla on his podcast in recent weeks has been coming up with several plausible-but-fake NFL names. Among them:

    Legs Akimbo
    D'Vigorous Lover
    Ferrill Katz

    And my personal favorite:

    LiBrarian Booker

    I covered a kid named Kevin Bacon. And no, I never used any sort of reference to any Bacon movies when calling his games or writing about him. He thanked me for that after I ran into him while he was in college.
    The local TV stations and other area newspapers...well, they went the cheap route...poor kid.

    One of my high school football teammates was a 6-foot-4 white kid named Michael Jackson ... and he insisted on being called Michael, not Mike.
