It's not like Copperpot is being paid. The only person involved here who deserves any slack at all is her. You want to complain about fewer available points, that's on the people who didn't get their stuff in. She laid out the rules from the start, and I'm sure that particular one was borne of the knowledge that it would save headaches in her past experience. I hope it has.

Thanks again for doing this CP. I think a pat on the back is due Amy, as well.

I think the Sheeples are in complete agreement: Thanks Ms. Pot and Amy!

Thanks to copperpot and Amy, two awesome chicks. And I didn't like start awake with memories of Sheep ... I am trying to transition my dog into sleeping in my bed, and he made it 5 hours, so he woke me up at like 2 a.m. Before I fell back asleep, I checked Gmail and FB on my Droid (as I normally do) and then pulled up SJ. Even though no one had posted the "bump to remind" it somehow jogged my memory. However, I had no idea how to c&p the questions into a PM like I do on a desktop, and I've never done this well in Sheep, so I didn't want a 0 to be my drop score. So I dragged ass into my living room to boot up and answer. That's what I blame my "Family Feud" answer on. :D

Oh, and side note: As much as I wouldn't go to a Mexican restaurant with the "taco" people, I'm totes going with the margarita folks.

I'm not interested in going to any type of restaurant with someone who says "totes."

Lord. I spent part of the weekend with Amy - and she'll have reason to kick my ass next time for failing to offer proper thanks to her, too.

So thanks Copperpot and Amy for all you do to give us a little bit of fun. Questions on Monday, answers by Friday is easy as hell. I appreciate your efforts.

If I wasn't afraid of ending up in jail, I might crash some rumored very exclusive mini-outing to show my appreciation.

As for the rest of you who did submit on time, I'll try to forgive you for not recognizing the greatness of Google, for not getting the idea that Toto should be thought of first after Dorothy and for not realizing opening an umbrella inside brings the very worst of bad luck.

And with that, I'm back on Jewish Lent. Thanks again CP and Amy

I absolutely get that. It's absolutely on them. No question. I don't mean to say it's a flaw with the way CP is handling things. I've run my own Sheep game in the past and ran into the exact same problems she has: Late answers, me haranguing people to get theirs in and people slowly quitting. The only difference is I eventually quit doing it before the season was over.

I just wonder — for myself, for us, for her, for all those shepherds out there workin' hard all day and all night — if there's a better way.

I wonder if you calculated all the numbers as a percent of 100, then awarded points that way. So if half the people answered Jeopardy, you'd get 50 points, no matter if that "half" was 15 votes or 25 votes. That definitely takes a little of the fun out of it, though.

I'm not advocating any kind of change for this year, and maybe not ever. This is only Sheep Theory. I'm very appreciative of CP for running the game because I really have fun playing, and I'm even more apprecitive since I've tried it myself and know how tiresome it can become.

The margarita answer was my wife's, she convinced me over burrito.
Then again, I robbed her of the correct answer of Scarecrow...so we are even.

Wait. I need a reason to kick your ass?

We will need you on standby with the bail money and Toto is my favorite (albeit wrong) answer.
