I didn't think journalists made enough money to take vacations of the length I'm reading here.

Did the cottage thing on the Cape (Brewster, though I didn't get to a Whitecaps game) last week. Lovely experience, especially before school gets out. Only problem: cold-core system parked off the coast that left only one real beach day (the last one). For three days, it was like a nor'easter without rain - couple of days didn't even see 60.
Make sure you hit Cobie's on 6A - the rockin'est fried clams on the Cape.

heading to Prince Edward Island the week of July 4...always a great time. This year will be especially good, my Uncle whom I never met moved back to the Island.

Then heading over to France for 2 weeks in August. We'll spend the first week in the lower Alps, and then bounce around the South of France the second week. I'm looking forward to the bread.

Make sure you bring your white flag. No vacation to France is complete without surrendering :D

Surrendering? I'm American.....I'll live in Versailles for 2 weeks if I want! In fact...I think I'm going to have them paint the Eiffel Tower Fenway green.

Are you planning on making it down to Nice, Cannes, Monaco, etc. If so, I am tres jealous. I was there a few months ago and it's the most beautiful place I've ever been to. I plan on definitely getting back there before I die.

Not sure if I'll get over there this year because we're taking our 6 month old son. We'll stay with family in Beziers, it's about 15 minutes from Montpellier.....

I've been to the cities you've mentioned a few times, and I agree it's a beautiful part of the world. There's nothing like sitting in a cafe in Monaco looking at all the yachts, georgeous women and sweet sports cars.....did I mention the women?

Agreed, the women and cars and yachts are amazing. Being inside the Monte-Carlo feels like being in a palace not a casino. Also, the walk from Monaco to Cap d'ail with the coastline on one side and villas on the other is stunning.

In the last month, I've been to Montreal and Naples, Fl. They were nice. Coming up is Wildwood, NJ.

Zion National Park is pretty awesome, a tight race IMO with Bryce Canyon.

Woke up one morning in Zion, opened the cabin door and four muleys are standing about 15 feet away as the snow is falling.

The "America the Beautiful Pass," formerly the National Parks Pass, is $80 and good for a year for entrance to all the national parks.

It's a good deal if you visit a bunch of parks and sites each year.

I'm headed to the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Southwest Indiana this summer. Oh the joys of a family wedding.
