Maybe no one is taking a shot at identifying them because no one cares.

    Just a thought.

Shallow football analysis => Using a quarterback's won-lost record in playoff games -- attributable to him and only him in the narrowness of these discussions -- as a measure of his greatness.

Eg., Trent Dilfer has more "playoff wins" than Archie Manning.

Or perhaps they don't like the point it will make, which is far more likely.

To me, the key on that play was the pump fake, which drew Rogers-Cromartie off Holmes and on to Moore in the flat. Without that pump fake, Rogers-Cromartie is there to make a play on Holmes the moment the ball arrives. Francisco slipped, yes, but without the pump fake it wouldn't have mattered because Rogers-Cromartie makes the tackle.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to respond since apparently I'm the only one keeping this thread going, but I had forgotten about that. Good point. Some of the movement in the pocket on that drive doesn't show up on the stat sheet, either, but it was a big part of what he got done.

    No.

Brady threw a couple of dumpoffs that cleared the Patriots out of their own end. Then, it was easy pickings to get the ball to the 30.

Roethlisberger did more in the final two minutes of this bowl than Brady did in any of the Pats' wins.

Dolphins' patchwork offensive line was exposed. Dolphins' utter ZERO at receiver was exposed.

    Pennington? Not really.

He made some brutal throws, including the deep ball into double-coverage that Reed returned for a touchdown to give the Ravens control of the game. That was with the game tied, 3-3. I'm not saying that loss was all his fault, even with the four interceptions. But if you put the entire offense on Pennington, more often than not he is going to fail.

There is NO QB left anymore who exceeds that standard.

I'd say you are in the minority for not giving Roethlisberger credit for wins, you seem to want to say Brady and Pennington are responsible for every victory and have nothing to do with losses.
