Want me to list surrounding casts?

It's a reach because it is unprovable.

But Kenny Anderson would have plenty in his safe deposit box had he been a Steeler.

What if you put Chad Pennington on those teams?

Ken Anderson was the better player.

    A better vertical passer, too.

Than Pennington? Who isn't a better verticle passer? ;D

Seriously, these dabates are fun, but in the end you have to judge players on what they do rather than what they might have done in different circumstances. Hell, I have heard people argue that Joe Gilliam would have been better than Bradshaw if his drug problem hadn't gotten in the way (among other issues that held him back).

Inarguably part of greatness is cashing in max when you have a good hand.

And I'd agree. Despite playing for some truly craptacular Bungles teams, the four-time Pro Bowl QB (one more than Bradshaw) and 1981 NFL MVP may be the most deserving player not in the Hall of Fame.

Comparing the passing numbers of Montana and Moon to reach some prescribed conclusion is hocus pocus. They operated completely different offenses on totally different teams. Also, consider the health and stability of the organizations. For all the talent, the Oilers were a three-ring circus under Moon. Montana's 49ers were a brutally efficient machine.

Moon 94 more INT and 145 more times sacked than Montana

And how many Super Bowls had the Steelers won the previous 27 years, which featured some darn good (and sometimes top-rated) defenses? What was their record in AFC championship games during that time?

If Brady deserves a mountain of credit for making his team better, Roethlisberger does, too.

The arguments are somewhat entertaining, but I really don't think Junkie even means half of what he is posting on this thread. He just likes messing with people, especially Steelers fans. Most of the posts will be gone in a week anyway.

On the plus side, it gives us an excuse to keep this on the front page, which apparently ticks off a few of the Steelers haters.
