You aren't inviting me to compare the Steelers' personnel with the occasional-Pro Bowl Bengals, are you?

    Really!?!

Just saw on ESPN's scroll that the NFL said the Steelers did not participate in any wrongdoing when the organization said that Roethlisberger had an injured back instead of broken ribs.

  3. Hey Pallister, what's up? Yes, Ben did achieve a level of sucktitude in Super Bowl XL, but even in that sucktitude, he did throw the key block on the reverse TD pass from Randle El to Ward which never would have left El's hands if Ben didn't take out the defender. Not to mention he kept a third and 15+ play alive that ended up as a first and goal from the 2 on a long pass to Ward. He didn't do much else that game, in fact, he did more to lose it, but as was said earlier, remember those three games leading up to the super bowl before you label Ben mediocre. And please, watch the first three quarters of the super bowl again before saying he didn't do anything special before that last drive. Uninformed would be the kindest lable I could put on that post.

    Anything?
Once again: the block on the Randle-El Pass. The touchdown run.
That's probably the total of his contributions that day.
    It was enough.

your grasping when yo include a QB blocking and a touchdown he never scored. Can't we just admit he was awful in the Seahawk game and very good against the Cardinals.

The touchdown was initially ruled a score, and upheld on replay.
What part of that are you not getting?

Take your Steeler thong off for one second, he was Fucking awful in that Super Bowl even he admits it. This shouldn't surprise me though you are the one who defends James Harrison for slapping his girlfriend.
Didn't you also compare Harrison illegally punching a player to Oscar Delahoya and boxing. Get some Fucking persepective.

Pennington threw four interceptions against the Ravens, which is more than Roethlisberger threw in three games agaisnt that same defense. This includes an awful throw into double coverage that Ed Reed returned for the touchdown that gave Baltimore the lead for good. Your response to that game? You blamed his offensive line and his receivers. Funny that you would call me an apologist for doing that.

  10. I think his point about the block, and mine in my post, was that ben can have an awful game, and still contribute in other ways.

Yes, a block that a backup QB could make. That is grasping.

Jesus, I've gone from defending him earlier in the thread to this. I now understand why people get so frustrated with some(not all) of the Steelers fans on here.

Of course it was upheld. The game was fixed.

The ball never crossed the goal line.
