I don't believe the game was fixed. I believe it was just horribly officiated. You ask 90% of people if he got in and they'll tell you know. The other 10% are Steeler fans

OK, probably not fixed, but it sure as hell felt like it.

Oh, and he definitely didn't get in.

  3. Sorry if it is grasping. Personally, I like a quarterback who doesn't crawl into a shell if his passes aren't on target. I like a football player who contributes something if he is having an off day. And look back through the 80 + pages of this thread and read some of the stuff that many of those who hate the Steelers have to say before pointing out why some Steelers fans are easily hateable.

  4. definately is such a strong word. Look, I get why Seahawk fans are mad, I really do. I would too if I was in their shoes. But the hold was a hold, the pushoff was a pushoff and the ball did indeed cross the goal line before he was hit back.

It's easy to point out why some Steeler fans are hateable, they have 0 perspective. That could be said about any fan base, but on here, there are a lot more Steeler fans that post than fans of other teams. Again, I am not saying all Steeler fans lack perspective.

The ball is short of the red line in that picture.

There has been some ridiculous hyperbole on both sides, especially regarding Roethlisberger. Somebody, I think it was Blitz, said he was a Hall of Famer right now. He's not. He has had one NFL season numbers at that level.

Can he get there? Sure. He has better numbers through his first five seasons than John Elway did and already has two Super Bowl rings. But he has a long way to go.

The comparisons to Pennington, however, are an absolute joke.

  8. Most of what was said on this thread by Steeler fans was defending idiotic comments, kinda like saying Ben only has the most wins through his first five years because he was dealt pocket aces. The same pocket aces, as OOPs said previously, that Tommy Maddox and Neil Odonnell were dealt. Some of us cast stones, but others do too.

Actually, I didn't bring up Tommy Maddox or Neil O'Donnell. One or two of the other Steelers' fans here did. I forget who.

  10. I'm sorry, it was Oz, and it was a valid point that was never addressed by junkie.

Agreed, but if you read my previous post I was defending Roethlisberger against that ridiculous comparison.

It's post where Twoback talks about not judging the type of person Harrison is even though he's slapped the shit out of his girlfriend and Blitz's ridiculous post. You know you can like a team and admit some of them might just be douchebags. Again, I did not say every Steeler fan is like this it's just the ones that will blindly defend there team without any perspective that usually piss people off.

Anyway I've got from defending Ben to arguing against him twice on this thread. I'm getting dizzy, I need a beer.

  12. Bens arm and the ball fell to the ground just inches short of the goal line, and that was AFTER being his back. It's not important anymore, we can all agree to disagree.
