Some of them will be obnoxious. Some of us won't be.

I'd wager the percentage of obnoxious Steelers fans here is the same as the percentage of obnoxious Yankees, Red Sox or (insert other popular team here).

No offense but while I agree every fan base has a certain level of obnoxiousness -- Steelers fans take it to another level.

And yet for months on here it has been the anti-Steelers crowd constantly trying to stir things up. Is there any chance both sides could just admit they don't like the other side and move on before this thread gets any worse?

Well, I think both sides have admitted that. But there's zero chance of either side moving on.

I just hope we'll be able to have (somewhat) civil discussions about the game.

I just hope some of our Steelers homers don't actually cover pro football.

  6. Back to the previous link, before the pissing match resumes, I'm glad that Brian McCarthy doesn't want to siphon money away from something that gives 100 percent of the proceeds to autistic research. That would really be bad of him, huh?

And hate does not bias reporting either? You cannot have one way without the other.

Hate's a strong word. This is a silly game -- very silly -- at the end of the day.

It is stunning, though, to see such childlike behavior on a site for professionals -- and a lot of that is being exhibited day in and day out by Steelers fans.

And a lot of that is being exhibited day-in and day-out by people who don't like the Steelers, who can't wait to bash Steelers fans.

    Read through the thread.

I am not the first to use the word hate or its synonyms.

I'd rather have both hands stapled to my ass than suffer through the entirety of a running NFL thread on this board. If the haters bother you so much, don't pay attention.

Exactly. Anybody who doubts it should go back and read the comments on the threads about the last two rounds of the playoffs.
