They have :22 and a stopped clock on the 28 to :06 and stopped clock on the 10?

I would have called something that protected a long gain down the middle of the field just a little bit more.

I know you are protecting a touchdown from being scored, but that man was too open.

    No he wasn't.

ANY coach will take a 7-point lead and allow the foe to have one play from the 10, just to try to get a tie. It's hard to score a TD on one play from the 10.

They will take that every time over a defense that exposes it to a TD on that penultimate play.

McNair's escape will likely never be duplicated in my lifetime. At least not by a QB. He was dead to rights on that play.

And to the guy saying that the Rams shouldn't have cared if he took off, remember, he was shredding that defense for practically 10 yards any time he left the pocket. He did set a rushing record for a QB in the Super Bowl you know.

Who's to say that if McNair takes off he doesn't score? He'd already beaten two Rams defenders, four more were on theline. That leaves him with five guys to beat and a whole host of receivers in the area capable of throwing a block.

The reason that his receiver was so open is because NO ONE thought he was going to escape. You get two guys on you like that, 99 out of 100 times you go down.

Still, the Rams came up with the one tackle that matters.

I only hope Sunday's is at least a fraction as good.

I don't. I'm hoping for a nice, easy Pittsburgh victory. Unfortunately, I don't think that's going to happen. Even if they do win, and I am being as pessimistic as usual, the Steelers rarely make it easy.

  8. Just wanted to stir the pot a bit for the whiny steelerhaters on this thread. You know who you are.

For those of you who don't watch Olbermann, you may want to catch the last couple minutes of the rerun. KO gives Media Day exactly as much respect as it deserves.
