So you don't believe that parents should take their children into account when making decisions about their personal lives?

But if no one was hurt, what's the problem?

Kids are never damaged in monogamous relationships where two who can't stand each other stay together "for the sake of the kids"

Because they're not committed to each other. That really is the backbone of why people get married. The "married filing jointly" tax perk is nice, but it's a shit reason to get married. Again, this is Wally Cleaver speaking. Beavis and Butthead's mileage may vary.

We're talking about people being selfish and irresponsible. Your post is just another example. What's your point?

Let me guess: That's how much the wife weighed.

LOL ... no, lots of Irving's books have a wrestling connection. In this one, one of the main characters is a wrestling coach.

You really should read it. It's very good.

I have a friend I was with the other night. He and his wife haven't had sex since 2012. Everyone else is up in arms about it. He and I get to talking outside. He said he's willing to seek it elsewhere, and doesn't mind if she is, too. He's not attracted to her in that way any more. I assume it's mutual. But they share a life together. He's a coach and she goes to all his games. She's a lawyer for battered women, and he is supportive of her career. They've been to London together. They're going to France next month for vacation. No kids. He says they're happy. They always post the requisite, "Happy anniversary to my soul mate!" stuff on Facebook.

    Who am I to judge?

Could you expand on this part, please? Are they that open about it?
