    Except that, a little hitch:
    Context is everything.
The New Testament, which is the authority post-Christ, still condemns homosexuality and says the diet rules don't apply.

Including those who switch back and forth out of boredom?

That was referring to a local church issue geographically speaking and not understood as broad-based. If you look hard enough at the New Testament there were a number of woman leaders in the church Paul referred to in other places.
I just love when progressives cherry-pick scripture for their own purposes.
How about the "wives submit yourselves to your husbands." Anyone know what follows in charge to the husband?

Again, what's literal in the old is often amended in the new. Catch up. Even the most liberal schools of theology concur with that.

It's only being treated as an apples-to-apples comparison because Baron made a sweeping generalization: Groups musn't be treated unequally.

Fair point one is a skin color the other is loving someone other than a member of the opposite sex. But in both cases someone is being punished for being born.

There are people who are born with certain impulses. Pedophiles come to mind. Serial killers.

There's no thought police. But certainly they don't get to act on those impulses on the basis of some inalienable right to be themselves.

And that's how Kim Davis feels about homosexuals.

Homosexual marriage is between two consenting adults. Pedophilia victimizes children who can't consent. Serial killers murder people without their consent.

Kim Davis is also commanded to not judge lest she be judged herself. She is committing just as much of a sin as the people she's denying licenses to (And I fully recognize the irony of that last statement, I'm just trying to make a point).

And again, interracial marriage was not the point of the Old Testament. Marrying out of one's kind had to do with the different religions.

I don't disagree, of course. I'm a proponent of gay marriage. Always have been. Kim Davis should be in jail.

But the point I'm making is that she's not punishing people for being who they are. She's punishing people for acting on it.

The only New Testament passages I can find regarding homosexuality specifically speak against men being with other men.

So, lesbian stuff just fine. Rejoice!
