Can someone who supports Davis explain to me why this isn't a cut-and-dry case of separating church and state?

She is using her religious beliefs to defy a law ruled on by our highest court.

The Muslim comparison is an apt one. If a devout Muslim man was working at DMV, not issuing driver's licenses to women because of his beliefs, would those supporting Davis be on board?

I'm actually curious to the other side of this issue, because it's a sound parallel.

Apparently Kim Davis won't be "Rising up to the challenge of her rivals" anymore ...

Those rules don't apply to Christians. They're the only ones allowed to impose their religion in everyone. If they can't, they're being oppressed.

    It really is that simple.

Except her job is to issue marriage licenses, and she's not doing her job.

Women should be able to go topless in public, just like men can.

As far as harm, there can be harm when children are subjected to sexual images.

So if a brother and sister came in and wanted a marriage license and were consenting adults, should she issue one?

Her job is much more than to simply "issue marriage licenses." It's also part of her job to NOT issue licenses.
