"Survivor: China" running thread

Yeah, she just skated by on her sex appeal.

 

I was surprised to hear about the "three" tribal councils in the teaser for Sunday. Wouldn't that make an eight person jury. And I disagree with the people that think Courtney has no chance. I see her getting Frosti's vote, PG's and Jamie's and James if Denise isn't in it. After the merge, she was the least stand-offish of those in her alliance. I think Amanda has the next best shot. John Robert will likely go Denise, Amanda, Todd and Courtney in that order.
PG was tough, but ask Aaron how much she played with integrity. I'd take Todd to the final two for sure. The guy hasn't won a single challenge and has led the backstabbing brigade.
And getting a few non-blurred shots of Amanda's shorts from afar, I no longer have to wonder why they blurred it out. And I'm certain she knew what she was doing.

 

There is no way -- short of out and out editing deception -- PG or James vote for Courtney.

 

But I thought James had a "thing" for Courtney, and its not like Courtney ever screwed over James or PG, unlike the other three. She just went along with it.
It all depends on whether jury members vote "for" or "against" someone in the final.

 

I'm sure she's thrown many a tantrum.

Sad to say, ride's over for Denise if she doesn't win F4 immunity - the other three aren't stupid enough to let her near a jury (I'm still sure it's three at FTC if the jury started at 10). It's still Amanda's game to lose - I think she calls the shots and lets Todd serve as the front man so he takes the heat.

Funny to hear the Johnny Fairplay references - from what I understand, Survivor hasn't seen the last of him after all.

 

The fact Courtney finished second ahead of Amanda is insane.

 

What the hell happened to Amanda and Courtney's hair? They looked better on day 39 that on the reunion show.

 

I wish the reunion show lasted longer, tough to do much catching up with 16 people in an hour.

Jeff cracked me up asking if Eric was still a virgin after dating Jamie. I'm sure everybody watching was wondering the same thing.

 

I didn't watch this one much - but it was damn nice of Mark Barnett to give 50K to the school lunch lady that lost her job because some moron administrator said she was too big a spectacle and distraction for kids after returning from the show and fired her ass.

 

Boy, did Amanda ever blow it. She blew Denise's vote by promising she had her back, then stabbing her there.
Todd calling Amanda on it at F4TC was probably the move that won it for him, along with appealing to JR's ego at final TC. He exposed her MO. I figured his mouth wrote too many checks the truth couldn't cash, but he pounced on Amanda's mistakes brilliantly.
Didn't it seem strange that Amanda, for being billed as the beauty queen, was a complete nonentity at the reunion? I'm on the "she looked much hotter on the island" bus. Good to see Courtney catch up on a few meals, though.
Glad to see producer Mark Burnett recognize the screwing Denise received from her employer when she got home (hopefully, my shop will follow up on it). And also to see Courtney apologize for one of the most vicious remarks I've ever heard on this show - "she sucks at life" was an insult that goes well beyond anything we'd consider just part of the game.

 

Courtney was...no, is.... a "Bitch At Life"....she also ripped that girl who talked about her faith, she ripped a couple of others too. But true, that remark toward Denise was pathetic.

 

I thought that giving Denise the money just made her that much more pathetic. Uncomfortably so.

Don't get me wrong, it's good she's getting the money. But she got it because her life -- not her character on the show, but her actual life -- was so pathetic that it was ruining the television show.

And she was so fucking stupid, from not flipping the game when she could have and getting to the jury, where she clearly would have had a shot, to voting for Courtney, who clearly thought she was trash, to explaining her mullet to Jeff, the whole thing was just completely uncomfortable.
