"Survivor: China" running thread

Like Probst said during the merge challenge, the game never ends. She's still playing and suckered Burnett out of $50K.

 

Money grab. It's funny that she would think — in this day and age — she wouldn't be caught in this lie.

 

You know, when Probst asked her about the new job, he didn't ask her if it was for more money or less money.

 

I'll third that, more for Amanda who, as others have noted, looked a lot better on the show than she did all cleaned up, than Jaime.

I thought Amanda would win but I'm glad she didn't because without the million that increases her chances of getting nekkid in Hef's rag.

 

As for Courtney, if she was that miserable - and she bitched right from the start - why go on the show in the first place? I've never understood that.

 

The allure of even a little bit of fame.

 

I can understand that but some of them act like they've never even seen the show before.

 

I'm sorry, but Denise does suck at life. She's 50 and makes (or made) $7 an hour as a lunch lady. And she got the whole country pissed off at her school district and she was apparently full of shit in that regard too. Her plea to stay in the game was a lame sob story about how much she sucked and her life sucked, i.e. "This is it for me." Even worse, that sob story was exactly the reason she got the boot, not the reason someone would keep her around.

I wasn't a fan of Courtney through the whole show, but she grew on me a little at the end. She's right -- it's not welfare. If Denise wanted to stay in the game, she could have made it happen. Denise, on the other hand, appears like she was the one hunting fame and fishing every pond she could find for a few bucks, the only bait being her beaten to death sob story.

If that article about her not really being a lunch lady any longer is true, then her mullet story is also bullshit.

 

I see her... and just see Farley, Sandler and the rubber walking pizza slice.

 

I still think if Denise were a babe, she doesn't generate half the resentment she has.

 

And, let's be honest, she wouldn't have that shitty job.

 

But being ugly is starting to look like it was a part of her character ... I'm sure she's not totally full of crap, but as a viewer she really "burned" me in parts of her story not being true.

Initially of course I didn't like her because she's hideous, but I actually grew to like and respect her. I was shocked — SHOCKED — when I learned she had a husband and wasn't a lesbian during the loved one challenge, but she went on to win that one with her husband and that made me like her even more.

But the way she trotted out her sad sob story of a life in an attempt to stay in the game, and the way she trotted it out on the reunion show — it was just uncomfortable. Someone else said it -- it was uncomfortable enough that they thought it was ruining the show, so they gave her more money. Then, after that, for the uncomfortable parts to be part BS ... that's why I don't like her.
