Unbelievable that Russell pulled that off. What a move. I was in shock when it went down.

Too bad to see Tyson go. He didn't really get much time this season, but wow, what a terrible vote on his part.

I like the move, ultimately, because it firmly establishes Russell deserves the praise he's been given but I still can't believe the stupidity of Tyson.

That being said, I have a feeling the Villains are going to be gunning for good ol' Rus because if he gets to the merge, he's going to be a tricky, tricky trickster.

Assuming they merge at 12, regardless of what happens next week Russell will be a huge threat to win it all if he sticks around and brings the Heroes along with him, Pavrati and whoever else is in his current alliance.

I could see him, Pavrati and Coach grouping with the four (maybe five) members of the Heroes and running all the other Villains out.

Boston Rob would be wise to get rid of him now.

Russell hasn't even really gone after Rob himself yet. You have to think that's a chip he could play at some point. Rob is really, really good at this game, and in some ways that Russell isn't, like challenges.

I am completely blown away that Tyson basically did himself in. What a moron.

    Anybody but Russell.

What am I missing here? I am not seeing how this was such a brilliant move by Russel. He keeps Pavarti around so he has an ally but other than that I am not seeing the brilliance.

Uh, because he and his only real ally are both still in the game? That kind of is the point.

It wasn't what Russell did, but how he did it. Of course, if he does that and gets voted off, it's one of the worst moves in show history.

As it was, it's a game changer.

In my opinion, Boston Rob is the best player in the history of the game. Which is why the target on his back will be so huge that unless he keeps winning immunity, he'll be one of the next to go.

It's interesting. So much of this goes back to the rest of the cast not being able to watch Russell's season on Survivor. If they did, they'd know how much he relies on the hidden idols and almost certainly would have voted him off by now.

I didn't think much of it when the season started but it's a huge advantage.

That said, I like Russell a lot and while I am rooting for Boston Rob to win, Russell would be second.

    That's fair.

As Russell gave the idol to Pavarti last night, they panned the rest of the tribe and Tyson was the only one who wasn't smiling. The rest had that "Hey it worked like we thought it would" look on their faces. Tyson knew right then he was in trouble. Too bad he wasn't smart enough to figure it out a few minutes earlier.

He hasn't gotten much screen time this season, but I really enjoyed Tyson's bluntly honest interviews from his first time around.
