OK, after 20 seasons, who is the best player in the history of the show?

I know she has two shows and two wins, but I wouldn't be able to vote for Sandra for No. 1.

 

He did that last night. I believe it was the first thing he said.

 

He should have said it repeatedly. I don't think it took.

 

It was the first thing he said. That was enough.

He said it once and got zero votes. If he said it 4 times, he might have gotten 2 votes. Point is, it wouldn't have mattered.

 

Before the finale, I had convinced myself it was going to be a 3-3-3 tie. I thought Jerri, Colby and JT were going to vote for Russell.

 

Susan's in Survivor 1 is still the all-time classic speech. I hated her, but that speech was, like Hatch's win, the standard by which everything else is measured.

 

I was talking about this last night....I'd love to go back and watch that first season again, back when people were feeling their way through the game.

For once, the reunion show was interesting.

Two things I would have liked Probst to ask:

1) If Russell brought Jerri to the final 3 instead of Parv, who would have won?

2) What did you think of Russell at the start since nobody had seen his season yet or knew anything about his game play?

 

Interesting question about best all time.

If you go by the scoreboard then it has to be Sandra or Pavarti but in terms of who I think the best all time was I would submit YUL or Yau Man.

They had real strategic ways of playing the game and also had some ability with the challenges.

I also do not believe in the notion of luck as mentioned earlier in the thread. You can posit so many what ifs that luck and who has it is irrelevant.
