Anyone else see James limping onto the stage? I wish they would have addressed the knee issue to see what exactly happened.

I've seen that Season three times. When it was on originally, when the re-ran it against the Olympics and then a few years ago when it was on some travel channel.

That season was essentially Richard Hatch and a bunch of people who were completely clueless. One person came prepared to play and the others were just there. Nobody has ever dominated a season and won like Hatch did, but he was playing against a bunch of morons. He didn't do too well in all-stars, but then again, the people who had already won had a huge target on their backs and I don't think any even made the jury.

I can't say Yul was one of the best players because he was untouchable from the second he got the immunity idol. He might have been great, but he didn't have to be.

Wish the reunion show was two hours long so they could address a lot more than they got to.

Can't say I'm suprised Sandra won, but I don't think she deserved it over Parvarti. I was hoping Russell would pull it off, but his ego got the best of him. I really thought that with that jury, players who have played the game and won it before, would have respected his game play a little more.

As for the best ever, Hatch figured the game out and can't be denied that.

Other than that, Parvarti is right there. She proved that this season. She has all the elements.
I'll throw Tom Westman in there as well. he dominated his season, and his tribe dominated all the challenges with his leadership, a role he took on from Day 1.
Can't deny Yul and his efforts. I think he is ranked here because of the way he played the game--in a non-hostile way. That made him a very popular winner, much like Tom.

I'll also submit that Boston Rob, Rob C (from Amazon), Russell, and Lex are the greatest that have never won.

That's true. Wasn't that the first season of the immunity idol? Producers made the mistake of allowing it to be played after the votes were read. That made Yul untouchable unless the other side forced a tie to flush it out. That strategy wasn't thought of yet.

Still, Yul had a very good plan and executed it.

Colby said this season wasn't as fun because they weren't allowed to go exploring or even go swimming/snorkeling. I wonder why the producers did that? Sharks in the water? Worried the set was too close to a village and they might meet some people?

I am still laughing about Sandra burning Russell's hat. . . . it was phenomenal.

I'm guessing it was too dirty. Too bad, they could have had a few more reasons for Amanda to get into a bikini.

I love that Russell kept insisting that he only played one season and Probst just kind of brushed that away.

I wonder if he would have changed things up had he had some time to look at things from a different perspective. Guess we'll have to wait until the next all-star season. You just know he'll be itching at the chance to get back on the island.

If he does another season, I can't see him lasting very long. Unless, of course, others use him as cover and play the "take a douchebag with me to final tribal" card.

Yeah, he'd probably be kept around long enough to win a few challenges and then be cut loose before jury, similar to what happened to Boston Rob this season.

I loved when Boston Rob was getting preachy about Russell's game and Russell pointed out that Rob hasn't won in three times.

But Rob's point stands. There's a way to play to win the final jury vote (even if you get knocked off early) and there's a way to play just to get to the final tribal (where Russell would have lost to anybody). Russell doesn't understand there's a difference.
