Survivor: One World

I find it amazing to see people continue to fall in lockstep like this, particularly after watching the last three seasons. It just seems like people would have seen the show and learned from people's mistakes in the past.

Next week, it's down to seven. It's obvious at this point that Kim and Chelsea are in it together to the end. So if you're any of the other five, you have to ask yourself if you're in the final three with them.

Kat certainly doesn't feel like she is. Tarzan and Christina KNOW they aren't. They have no choice but to form an alliance and try desperately to get Alicia to join them. It is the only chance the three of them have to make the final.

The unfortunate thing now becomes that Alicia actually has a good chance of reaching the final three. I think Kim and Chelsea would love to be sitting next that bitch in front of a jury, rather than Sabrina, who -- while useless in camp -- is a decent competitor in challenges, seems very friendly, has gotten along well with everyone and hasn't backstabbed anyone.

 

It's unfortunate Tarzan was too dumb to see what was going on. Troy was absolutely right last week and this week with his arguments on why players should take his side.

I don't think Alicia is smart enough to steal this from Kim. I don't think she's very bright. I'm surprised she survived after Colton left. She's toned down her act since then, but I doubt anybody on the jury would vote for her under any circumstances. She's done nothing in this game but be a bully and a bitch.

Sabrina could, but I think she feels solid that it will be her Kim and Chelsea in the final three. I don't see her staging a coup.

Oh, and don't forget: Christina has a strategy she's been cultivating this entire time, but she hasn't told anyone yet because it's about deception.

 

Not to sound sadistic, but I liked it better when you actually got the sense they were actually struggling out there, where the weight loss was obvious and they'd be comparing bug bites and stuff like that...

I'm not saying they're living in the lap of luxury, but it seems like they've gone away from that in recent seasons, probably right around the point when they had to get former players to agree to come back...

 

I find Alicia fairly reprehensible. Her crack about whoever it was (I think Tarzan) being as smart as one of her special ed students was ignorant and unfunny, just shows what kind of classless puke she really is.

 

I agree ... it has taken away from the show that they aren't actually "surviving." It all started with Africa, where the contestants really struggled, that they started each season kind of making it easier and easier.

Bringing back the reward challenges this season has basically been a way for them to feed the contestants every two days.

I liked when they had to fish or trap their own food and ration their rice well. It gave some contestants an edge because they could provide. I think there used to be three ways to advance: Win challenges, win friends or provide food. Now, it seems like you really don't even need to win challenges. It's all social game now.

 

I half expected her to say, "I work with retards, so I know how to deal with them."

 

I agree that Alicia is a moron but I think she might be bright enough to see that if she goes to final three with Kim, she has no chance.

I'm curious to see if Chelsea has enough game to backstab Kim. If she does, she could win this thing. Really, if anyone engineers Kim's ouster before the final three, that person becomes the instant favorite because it's nothing more than a coronation right now.

Chelsea is beautiful. I think she might be the best looking contestant the show has had.
But I don't think she's sharp enough to realize she should turn on Kim.
Kim, on the other hand, is well aware that she's a muchs surer bet with Tarzan and Kat in the final three than she is with Sabrina and/or Chelsea.

Alicia's smart enough to realize that she and Sabrina have to turn on Kim to have a shot.
And Sabrina's more than smart enough to realize that.

 

Oh, and just to my point about how hard Troy played the game, after getting ousted, he used his exit interview to begin campaigning for the fan favorite prize. It was a bit crass, but it fit so perfectly with how hard he was trying to win.

He'd probably get my vote (if I actually voted for such things). Chelsea and Bill would be in the running for me as well.

 

The thing about turning on Kim: She still has an idol.

Chelsea is the only one who knows, so she's not going to turn on her. However, if she gets into any danger, a good play for her would be to encourage other players to vote for Kim, let Kim know they're gunning for her and let Kim play the idol to, in effect, send home a threat.

 

I remember in the first season thinking it was pretty cool to see how much weight Richard Hatch had lost. Granted, for that to happen again, they would have to have another heavy contestant who goes far in the game and other than Big Tom, I'm not sure that's happened...
