Chelsea's the only who knows about it, and she's not sharp enough for that move.
But Sabrina's sharp enough to pull a move. If she does it soon enough, Kim might try to hoard the idol for another week and get caught.
I'm not saying it'll happen; I'm just there's potential for the endgame to be much more interesting than the rest of the dreadful season.

I wish you were right, but the more I think about it, the more I'm afraid that it is those examples that are inspiring this boring type of gameplay. I can think of three recent examples were the "leader" of the main alliance that made it to the end didn't win and one of his underlings did: Russell, Russell and Coach, just last season. You watch that and tucking behind the leader doesn't seem as futile as it used to seem. Obviously Russell's a unique case, but Coach didn't play poorly last season at all, and he lost to someone who didn't do anything until the very end.

I agree they need to find a way to shake the game up. The game just naturally used to keep itself fresh because No. 5, 6 and 7 would always flip, but that hasn't happened for a few years at this point, and that sucks. The easy answer is to say the 4-5-6-7 players the last couple seasons have sucked, but that's too easy. I don't know what else they could do to stir the pot.

I think there's real hope things can get mixed up next week. They HAD to get rid of Troy. If he somehow made the final, he was guaranteed to win. And since he could run off a handful of challenge wins in a row, they HAD to oust him they had the chance. I suspect the need to get rid of him is why they haven't been able to get Kat or Alicia or anyone to flip these last couple of weeks. Until now, that's been one common interest that's kept them all rowing the same direction.

And I still don't think Tarzan made the wrong move, neither last week nor this week. He would have had a 50/50 chance of going home had he voted differently last week. Now he's two weeks further in the game and may finally be at the point where chaos sets in.

Kim has been very effective in keeping her alliance together, she doesn't use fear (like some male contestants have) and is probably a lock for the mil if she gets to the final three.
I think part of the problem with this season is they ditched the tribe switch-up too soon, plus the random nature of it left all the strong players on one team. Better to do a schoolyard pick where each player chooses their next teammate, alliances are broken, new ones forged and even better, feelings are hurt.
I liked the reward challenge - nothing better than getting it all out there. But really, there is no point in watching this show until it gets to 5 to see what Alicia and Sabrina do. Kim wins if she gets to the final TC, and if she wins immunity or Chelsea does, you play the idol - you're at 2-2, Kim knows she'll get dumped if she doesn't win the next immunity.

Kat was easy to dislike, but I'll miss her. I will say: she sure came off as genuine. I think she really is as immature and naive as she comes off.

The eagerness to vote her out makes me wonder about the rest of the team, though. I understood the need to get rid of Troy and why they couldn't fracture until that was done. He was the biggest threat and he was going to win no matter who he made the final with. No matter who you were, Troy being gone was in your best interest.

Well, it's the same now with Kim. Barring something huge, Kim will beat them all, but they don't seem aware of that. That's why they shouldn't have gotten rid of the one person who seemed to have any interest in fighting Kim in a challenge. But, for some reason they don't see it, and that's amazing. Alicia is delusional (as Kim as put together) and think she will win. Chelsea doesn't seem delusional, but I bet she thinks she can come close to matching Kim in terms of claiming to be the ringleader, and that her ties with the men will give her the edge.

I have no idea what Sabrina's thinking, though it probably says something that Kim is so worried about her. Maybe she's one of the only ones who can see through leaves enough to figure out the stranglehold Kim has put on the game.

Anyway, I hope Kim loses immunity soon so we can see whether or not anyone really has what it takes to take her out. Kim really seems to be playing a masterful game. She engineered the ouster of the guys and she may well be set up to hit the final with two people who are entirely unaware of how hopeless their situation is.

Funny thing is, I think even Kat would have had a hard time making a move against, say Chelsea. She's someone whose entire world is whatever is right in front of her face. And yet, she's also the one person I could see someone using to get ahead. She's the female version of Dreamz. Still have no idea what Christina and Tarzan are thinking. Figure Alicia might have had a chance to win this thing if she could have gotten Kat and the other two to make a move against Sabrina or Chelsea.

  9. Kim is really doing an outstanding job of being the clear leader without alienating everyone else into being jealous of her. Just look at last night and how many players were lauding themselves for running the game. Kat and Alicia talked openly about how they were running the game. Even Chelsea made it clear she thinks she's at least on par with Kim. Hell, the only person that knows Kim is the clear leader here is Tarzan who refers to her as boss lady to which she said shutup. In other words, she doesn't want Tarzan making that so obvious to the rest of the tribe. Even with Troyzan pointing it out to everyone openly, nobody still sees that. I still think this is one of the dumbest groups of people ever on the show but I give Kim credit nonetheless.

The thing she did last night that was very wise was instead of forcing her opinion on the rest of her tribe, she knew she could wait another week without potentially opening eyes and take care of Sabrina next week. As we stand today, she cruises to this thing and that's been the case pretty much since the merge. Only possibility for her to lose now is if Tarzan somehow makes it into the final 3 and the guys all vote out of spite instead of choosing the best player, which isn't too likely.

One question: are we sure that Kim has the idol? I thought it was weird how she and Chelsea found it "together." If it needs to be played, is it clear which one of them will get to use it? Chelsea is the one best positioned to backstab Kim but I don't think it ever happens. They are tied together if for no other reason than that idol.

There's no one left who is close to Kim physically. I think Sabrina might be sandbagging a little (remember when she won or nearly won the challenge holding a ton of weight on her back in week 1 or 2?), but Kim will be superior in most challenges. Sabrina might be able to hang in a puzzle challenge.

However, I think at this point, we know the final immunity will be a standing or hanging endurance challenge (it always is, which is another reason they need to come up with some new material) and Kim seems almost a lock in that kind of a challenge.

Her path to victory is set up very well. There's two challenges left where she can use the idol, so she's got a very good shot to make the final four. I don't see her losing that endurance challenge, so it seems she's going to (deservedly) win the whole thing unless someone actually tries to make a move.

Kim found the idol (and promptly stuffed it in her crotch, ewww), but she did tell Chelsea about it. I'm assuming she didn't hand it over, though.

Pretty sure Christina and Tarzan are each thinking the same thing: "Holy shit! I'm still in Survivor!!!!"

This is a very small point, but speaking of Christina: Alicia is best served by Christina making the final because unless there was some sort of peace agreement that we didn't see, Christina is a definite vote for someone else.
