Unless her plan is to get to the final two or three and then blame Kim for all of the jury members getting voted off. Should she win? Sure. But the jury members sometimes can be pissed that they got voted off and hold it against the person who beat them fair and square. On another note, anyone notice that Alicia seems to have lost very little weight whereas other contestants have lost a lot more?

  2. Which is a plausible scenario except I'd think Chelsea would have a better shot at playing the no blood on my hands card than Sabrina, if only because she's better looking and she's actually been competitive in challenges.

If Kim doesn't oust her first.

Silicon isn't dependent on food. It will stay the same size forever.

I am standing by this. Kim will win, and she's certainly the best of this lot, but, damn.

    Lotta stupid out there.

How can Kim not deserve to win?

She's played Survivor about as well as it can be played. She has been the puppet master for everyone on the island since the merge and no one even seems aware they are attached to strings.

So the obvious happened tonight with no drama for the first two hours.

I will say, though, I was surprised by a couple of things. First, Kat was amazingly eloquent and endearing with her Tribal Council comments. Even in the reunion, she largely seemed much more "together" than she did on the show. Clearly she's a flake, but I thought she gained a measure of redemption with her TC speech. I'd actually be interested to see her again to see if she grows up and changes more into that person than the one who crawled on her knees to meet her cousin.

The moment with Tarzan at Tribal got a little dusty. Chelsea was very sweet and I thought that was one of the best moments of a largely uninspired season.

I did like the final challenge in principle, but in general, I'd rather see an endurance challenge that tests each contestant's will rather than skill. One of the better challenges of the season, though, especially since we hadn't actually seen it before.

A couple things I was disappointed about in the reunion:

Probst has previously said he thinks Colton is too despicable to bring back for another try. He, I'm sure at the producers' behest, asked Blossom, of all people, about bringing him back and then some random dude. They both wanted it to happen. Nobody else in the audience -- appropriately, I think -- wanted to give him another chance. The reveal at the end that three survivors who were medically removed from the game seems to open the door for his return. I hope to hell they don't. He doesn't deserve it.

The other thing was also Colton related. As Probst talked to Colton's mother (who was very sweet and obviously embarrassed by her son), Bill raised his hand in a request to say something. Probst never gave him the chance. I was wildly curious at that moment what he wanted to say. I'm glad to see Bill did not give Colton any kind of a pass. He didn't laugh at any of Colton's jokes or blow him kisses like Christina did. Bill deserved a better fate than to get ousted by that bigot.

Last thing is that I was surprised that Kim won the fan favorite vote. She absolutely deserved the million dollars. I would have voted for Troyzan for the fan favorite. I thought he was her equal competitively speaking, both strategically and physically. She obviously won the social game and that's what took her to the million. But Troyzan played the game as hard and as well as anyone this side of Coach, among Survivor losers.

If there's anyone from this season who I'd like to see return, it's him. Well, and Chelsea, because she's pretty awesome. :)

No shock in the final outcome, but it did highlight how well Kim played. Not just the challenges, but you could see her using the prior tribal council to play to the jury and explain her votes before they went down, she really had a way of getting rid of people without it boomeranging on her.

P.S. - Way too many tears Sunday. Give me the rat and the snake speech any day of the week.

I don't think Troyzan was Kim's equal in strategy. He allowed himself to be blinded to an all-girl alliance by his distrust of Mike, and even it didn't happen for a few more weeks, that's why he got voted out, not because of anything he did socially.

I think in Kim you have one of the great players of the game. She was excellent socially. She was excellent strategically and she was excellent in challenges. I think she'd have won no matter who she took to the end, but taking the two she did was a very strong, aware move. Her dominance and control took some of the excitement from the season.

As for Colton, he actually came across pretty well in some of the post-exit interviews, saying all the right things about being remorseful and about coming to terms with being such a jackass. He didn't show nearly as well tonight. He didn't say the right things. He made dumb little jokes instead of getting to the point. It seemed like he'd worked out what he wanted to say with his mom and with Jeff, and when the moment came, he chocked. That's too bad. He clearly came off horrible during the season, and I think he's well aware of that. He clearly still needs some maturing to realize not only how much of a spoiled piece of shit he looked like, but how he needs to handle himself when given an opportunity to try to make up for it.

To be perfectly honest, I would watch him again. I'd watch to see if he grew up, and I'd watch because buried under the mean, naive, dumbass of a kid going out of his way to play a mean, dumbass "bitch with teeth and 1,000 diva one-liners" is a good Survivor player. I don't know what kind of traction he could get on another season, though. He may well get the Russell treatment, i.e. We don't want to have anything to do with you or your master plan, so stay the fuck away from us and go home.

Oh, and Jonas is right. Chelsea is freaking amazingly hot. Though, I hated how she was all "Who, me???" when he said that because that's such a hot, friendly nice hot girl thing to say, and I fall for it every time.

  11. Pilot, I'm 100 percent with you on Troyzan not being Kim's equal. Troyzan absolutely got duped by Kim on the move to vote out Mike. She kicked his ass and it's as simple as that. I appreciate how hard he played the game to save his rear end later on but if he was really a good player, he wouldn't have been in that position to begin with.

Most of us identified Kim a LONG time ago as the winner in this. It was very evident nobody was going to beat her socially and she did a great job of whittling the field so that she had little to no physical competition in the latter stages so she could go on her run to the finish in immunity challenges. Great player, surrounded by dumb ones but that's often the case on this show.

I thought the final tribal council was terrible. Call me jaded but the Tarzan thing where he just thanked them for keeping him around long enough to see his wife was just silly. And Kat's thing didn't come off as too sincere to me. Seemed like she was trying to set herself up to get back on TV somewhere. Alicia was the worst. To the final moments she thought she was the best player and maintaining that Kim would have been scared to have her up there. Kim wasn't scared of ANY of them, that's why she didn't vote off Chelsea or Sabrina, she knew she was going to win against any of them.

On Colton, eff him. I don't want to see him on TV ever again.

Colton isn't a good player. He was ready to quit and go home until Sabrina gave him the idol. Probably the move of the game.
