If you can do squats, I'm sure you have a bottom. Probably, I could bounce a quarter off it.

Today, I'm going to France. It's been nice here in Italy, but these mountains are a pain in the ass. I can't wait to ride down the Champs-Elysees in a few days. Today, I'm just going to push for 25 to 30 miles, or about one-fourth of today's full tour stage.

I would do more cardio if I had a spin bike at home. That would be fun.

It is fun. I'm guessing they have training videos where you ride through different places. If I had a 50-inch TV, I'd be up for that.

Today, I rode 30 miles in about two hours. I wanted to quit at 15 miles and again every five miles thereafter. But I kept pushing. I did have to stand up a few times and rub my buns. There weren't much climbing today. That was a nice change.

Second week of doing deadlifts. Warmed up with 135, repped that 10 times. Added 20 pounds and got it two sets of six.

Next week, I plan on adding some more weight. I hope to get to at least 225 in two weeks. I am surprised with the strength of my back.

Deadlift shouldn't be primarily a back exercise. More legs. Keep the back straight and lift from the heels. Lifting just from your back will fuck up your back.

My best one rep is 255. That's plenty for now.

I don't only lift with my back. I use both legs and back. Legs to get it up initially and then I lock out the back.

I do it on my back days. I am planning on adding squats to legs day.

Speaking of dead, I really don't want to ride today. But I have lost 1.5 inches in my waist over the past three days of riding. So I really should.

Stallion, 1.5 inches in three days? Are you sure you're not using a metric ruler?? 8)

Actually, I'm using a sundial, a pulley and an abacus. I hit a wall today. I just wasn't refueling enough after burning that many calories. So I'm having white bean chicken chili for dinner. First, though, I'm going to shoulder on and try to get in a little time on the bike.

    Today
Modified "Fran," scaled from 95-pound thrusters to 85-pounders; pullups; rounds of 21-15-9 in 13:54. Two and a half weeks ago, I did the 95-pound Rx'd weight in 15:59. Ten pounds makes a lot of difference.

    Row 1k in 4:00.

Knees to elbows (10), dips on the treadmill handles (which sucks, 5), five rounds in 7:51. The core gets weak in a hurry when you go a little more than two weeks without working out.
