Thanks man. Reading about your deadlifts kind of got me envious.

I warmed up with 135 (x10) and then moved up to 225 for two sets of eight. I did my previous max of 275 (x3) and then psyched myself up for 315.

I did bench the other day, working up to a triple with 205.

The personal trainer I'm working with gave me a really good treadmill workout... 45 minutes, all walking (nothing faster than 4.5 mph) and all inclined (nothing more than 10 percent)... It said it would burn 450 calories... I've got so much above-average weight that I burned about 720. I keyed it into my computer and will e-mail it to anyone interested... I have it as a PDF.

I'm a big fan of walking at incline versus running on the treadmill. Burns more calories and you work harder aerobically. Plus, it saves the pounding on your knees and shins. I usually go about 4.1-4.2 mph on 15 percent incline for 20 minutes or so.

Today I did deadlifts, working up to a 1-rep max. I did 365, 20 pounds over my previous PR.
I also did box squats with the safety squat bar, 3 sets of 12 with 225.

    Not quite yet french fries,

What are your specs (height and weight)? Those are some tremendous lifts to be getting up.

Don't ask me why, but I really want to get to the point where I can lift 315 on the bench. Just seems like it would be an amazing accomplishment for me. Need to get with some of the guys who work at my gym and try to get there. I've done five reps at 265, so I think it's an attainable goal. Next time I lift chest, I'll see how many I can do at 275, 285, etc., and keep working toward 315.

My height and weight makes it sound less impressive. I'm about 250 and 5-8.

Going back tonight after a week off. Knee has been going screwy. Totally sucks.

Doesn't make it less impressive at all. You're still getting great results. Color me impressed, still.

First time to run a mile straight through at 6 mph or higher without a break... Time: 9:49.... I'm most pleased.
