Which one? The one who stands around flexing in the mirror after every set, or the one who comes to the gym for an hour and a half, sips on an expensive drink like Speed Stack, talks to everyone and maybe does three sets of light bench press?

I have both at my place.

We have a guy who works at the gym who is a big talker. You can just see that he's constantly on the prowl for a conversation while he's working. It makes for some uncomfortable workouts when I want to get out of there quickly and efficiently, because I'm constantly aware that he's just watching and waiting for the opportunity to strike up a conversation.

There's certain places there should be no conversing with a strange guy. It's not as bad as the urinal, but come on.

If we think this is bad, I imagine the ladies have worse stories.

The earbuds generally ward off conversation. I don't mind spotting a guy, but as Dick says, I'm in there to work, not chat. Time is valuable.

Went in and did this one today:

50 Wall ball shots, 20 pound ball
    25 Toes-to-bar
40 Wall ball shots, 20 pound ball
    20 Toes-to-bar
30 Wall ball shots, 20 pound ball
    15 Toes-to-bar
20 Wall ball shots, 20 pound ball
    10 Toes-to-bar
10 Wall ball shots, 20 pound ball
    5 Toes-to-bar

I subbed lying leg raises for the toes to bar just so I didn't make a fool of myself. Sat back on a bench and tried to pull my legs over my head. Also, wall balls done with a 7 kg (15.2 lb.) ball because that's the highest we have at the gym. Pretty good workout.

I HATE making chit-chat at the gym. It's hard enough to remain focused for 45-60 minutes without some stranger who's not interested in accomplishing anything telling you their life story. Luckily, this isn't too much of a problem because I've always had that "leave me alone" vibe thing going for me. Occasionally, though, someone oblivious to my personality and body language will end up annoying me.

Can't stand small talk. If it's in a place where it's more unnecessary, all the worse.

Oof. Maybe it was the 150 wall-ball shot from Saturday. Or maybe it was not having ridden in 11 days. But I just didn't have it today on the bike. Legs started burning right away. Got 10 miles in, but they hurt. I'm hoping it's more about the inactivity and I'll feel better tomorrow.

    Today, at home.

    Pushups: 28, 30, 28, 25 = 111
    Squats: 50, 25, 25 = 100
    Grip things: 10-10-10, 15-10-5, 15-10-5, 10 = 100
    Curl w/Arnold press (10-lb dumbbells): 25, 25, 25 (w/towel around grip), 25 (w/towel) = 100

    Meh, better than nothing.

Joe, I've been doing your pull-up challenge with my weights workouts. Up to six today. I wonder when I'll get to the point that I'll have to split them into multiple sets.

Or maybe it was option C: My tires were severely underinflated. Checked them this morning. They looked a little low. Hooked the pump up to them and they were both at 20 psi. Should be between 40-60. Pumped them and rode 18.14 miles in 1:12.03. Avg. speed 15.11. Burned 1,125 calories according to MapMyRide. Last time I did this specific ride It took me 1:16.32 and 14.21 mph. Good improvement.

    Today

    Six pullups

    Dumbbell bench: 47.5 x 10, 9, 7, 4

Run: 15 minutes, 1.78 miles, 7,2 mph pace, 8:20 per mile. I planned on running 30 minutes, but after a week away from cardio and too much beer, I cut it off short.
