Worked out today, and rowed a 500-meter warmup in 2:22. Then chest, back and one set of shoulder presses. Then rowed 500 meters in 2:05. Did 10 minutes on the treadmill, walking one minute at 4.0 mph and alternating at 6.0, 6.3, 6.5, 6.7 and 7.5 mph.

I did legs yesterday, and getting out of bed was an adventure this morning.

I've only been to the gym three or four times since I signed up, but I can detect the old familiar feeling of making working out part of my identity.

    I've done 2 miles twice in the last week. I did sprints yesterday, 6 100 meters, 3 200s and 2 50s.

Worked out today after being sick as a sick dog last Thursday-Saturday; lost a good five pounds or more during that ordeal. Chest and back day, short work during lunch break. Better than I expected but not a good as I hope.

    No cardio, which is disappointing.

Ran 3 miles tonight, very, very slowly, but I picked up the pace a little for the last quarter mile. It was my longest run in 25 years.

Avoiding TMI as much as possible, let's just say I am five days past hip replacement surgery today. And it's 6:30 a.m. And I feel so much better than I did at 6 a.m. ;)

    jr/shotglass, hope you recover well.

    I ran a 5k yesterday. I didn't walk and I didn't come in last. That's about all I can say.
I'll be better the next time.

Ugh, finally back to the gym today after nearly a month off.

Did a quick workout with 55 lbs: Without putting the bar down, 10 deadlifts, 10 shoulder press, 10 front squats, 10 bent rows. First set, 2:37. Rest 2:37, then second set in 2:16.

Ran on the treadmill, but just that little bit of deadlifts had my back aching, so I cut that short. Rowed 1,000 meters in 4:32.

    Done.

It's gonna hurt worse three days from now. Good luck getting out of bed.

Getting out of bed is easy. It's getting off the toilet that's a bitch.
