Having been shamed re: incline workouts I did 30-plus minutes of incline walking in the morning (average of 6; old treadmill only goes up to about 8), 100 push-ups when I ran home later to pick up medicine and then ran 2-plus miles before kickoff. Made me feel less guilty for all the cheese dip and beef tenderloin I ended up consuming.

This day is always the most disgusting I feel all year long. Lots of beer, pizza, chili, wings, and chips on Sunday night. Monday morning hangover. No run or workout at all this morning. Blech. Hopefully I will get on the treadmill tonight and get it back together the next couple days before I fly out to Colorado for four additional days of imbibing.

I didn't have any snacks last night. Dinner was a chicken breast and 3-4 florets of broccoli. At 8:30 I had a few bites of carb-reduced vanilla ice cream.

    What a Super Bowl party!

But, the #bloodsugar after dinner was 108 so I got that going for me.

I think I gained back every goddamn pound I'd lost yesterday. They had this shit ...

I did avoid the pizza dip and didn't partake of the football cake so it could have been much worse. Also, I only drank milk and coffee all day.

6.5 miles on the treadmill, I believe, then the dreaded incline workout. I started at 5.5 mph and 15 incline and was able to keep that up the first three minutes before dropping down to 5.0.

Tower race is about a month from now.

    Good job.

I only did 1,340 calories on the treadmill. Most of it 15 incline between 4.0 and 4.5 with a few dips to -3 decline (2 5-minute intervals) to switch things up.

Is there anything beneficial to be gleaned from decline running? My treadmill doesn't even do that. I can't say I've really ever heard of anything doing it. It's murder on your knees.

I don't run, it's all fast-paced walking. The full decline (#greatmovietitles) just gives me a chance to relax for a few minutes while maintaining an elevated heart rate.

I don't know how you can fast-paced walk at 4.5. At around 4.0, I have to start running.

    I'm the same. 4.0. Maybe it's a height thing? I'm 5' 10".
