JR needs someone with two bum joints in a dead-end job to joust with who is also a sidewalk alum of some major player in college sports. At least make it a fair fight for his future opponent.

The opponent would also need to whine to a moderator every day that someone is being mean to him.

This thread popping back up after a couple more years inspired me to surf over to the Crazy Old Sportsboard where I was a 15-year, 40,000-post founding poster/institution and just disappeared, to see if anybody is still wondering where I ever went. (I hadn't even lurked there in about a year; haven't posted in about 2 1/2.)

As it seems, a few people do. Doing a keyword search reveals every two or three months or so, somebody starts a thread or derails some other discussion into, "Whatever happened to (Starman) ?"

And nobody has a clue. The apparent consensus is I must have died suddenly.


I get a little tempted to dive back in, make a dramatic return post and start posting again, but really they don't talk about things I care about much any more. It's ego-boosting in a way to know anybody cares that I went away, but I don't think there's anything much new to say.
