    Also Google "hostile media effect."

Doesn't the market decide what people will listen to? If the mainstream media is carrying the water for liberals so consistently, then they won't be mainstream for long, correct?

Or do you not believe in the markets?

This portion of the post brought to you by Rush Limbaugh.

Seriously, dude, this could be a quote from an Onion article. You managed to hit on so many talking points, without a shred of evidence, that it's almost unbelievable that you could cram it all into one paragraph. "They tend to be more even-handed in their coverage." Fox News is more even-handed in its coverage than the Washington Post? Prove it. The New York Times has "lost virtually all of its credibility"? Really? Prove it. Liberal bias is the "reason the NYT's circulation numbers are swirling around the drain"? Prove it.

On the bright side, you gave me Nos. 5, 6, and 7 from my earlier post: Things that CarltonBanks hears stated unchallenged on conservative media and posts here as fact, unexamined.

    "Circulation?"

    All
    newspaper "circulation" numbers are declining.

The question these days is how are their pageviews?

I was about to sit down and read the NYT's A1 coverage of Steve Jobs's resignation in today's print edition. But should I? After all, I have been informed that the paper has "virtually no credibility." Does that extend to this story?

    Yes.

Face it. The NYT lost all credibility when it printed bogus stuff about Iraq that it got from Cheney and friends in the Bush White House.

Today's New York Times reports that Padraig Harrington has no victories since the 2008 PGA Championship. I do not believe this to be the case.

Today's New York Times reports that Boston Bruins goaltender Tim Thomas brought the Stanley Cup home today. After reading this, I am fairly certain that Thomas is the goaltender for the Florida Panthers, and that the Los Angeles Kings were the actual Stanley Cup champions.
