Teacher Opposed to Gay Marriage Could be Fired

Exactly. This guy absolutely deserves to be fired, more for the syllabus than anything. He has absolutely no business teaching in a public school, not because of what he believes, but because he does not understand that he does not have the right to force those beliefs on his students.

As someone who vehemently argued for his right to post his personal views on Facebook without facing professional consequences, obviously the syllabus is way out of line and deserves severe professional consequences.

So disheartening that a dogmatic wanker like this teacher was able to secure a teaching position while so many great and qualified folks can't land a job teaching (or an interview for one).

No,because here in Flyover Country, the ACLU doesn't exist. They're all back east and out west, ruining that part of the nation. Which is why guys like Rick Perry and George W. Bush get sent to D.C. Flyover Country political clout.

The ACLU is a legal organization bound by the Constitution. Why do you think the Constitution is ruining the nation?

Am I right to assume that you think there's only one way to interpret the entire Constitution?

Say, could someone tell me which side the ACLU took in the case of the teacher who's actually the topic of the thread?
