I'll ask it again -- are you saying that anybody who doesn't share your beliefs on homosexuality is intolerant? And isn't that intolerance defined?

I thought Pat Robertson already explained the Haiti thing.

Really anti-sematic -- you mean a group that has a core belief which is there is only one way to heaven and other religions and Gods are false idols.....how dare they!!!!!!!

Give me a break - if you don't believe your religion or faith is absolute than why bother? Seriously, it makes no sense and you are really just a fraud.

  4. Is this what you would have asked someone who was against interracial marriage in the 1960's?

Apples and Oranges -- this isn't about Gay Marriage I am asking a very fundamental question -- are you saying that everyone who doesn't share your beliefs on homosexuality is intolerant?

Aren't you being intolerant in doing so?

  6. I think they are being intolerant.

I believe that their views can (hopefully) be swayed. I don't judge them as people, but I disagree with their stance.

But isn't the mantra of the "tolerance and diversity crowd" to try to understand others points of view and accept others who are different or hold a different set of beliefs than you?

So anyone with religious convictions is a "bigoted asshole?"
Sorry, but that pretty much makes you a bigoted asshole.

I'm pretty sure I will disagree with everything Tebow and his mother preach about in their 30-second spot.
But at the same time, I don't care and I don't understand why there is so much fuss about this. They can believe whatever they want to believe. It does not affect me in the least.

  10. Not sure what you're getting at, but I don't think that translates, "Agree with them."

What about the countries with "an invisible friend in the sky" who kill thousands with bombs and hijacked airplanes? Are they a laughingstock?
And by the way, if you published an Islamic version of that cartoon in, let's say, Denmark, there would be riots and death threats. Oh, wait ... that happened.

    Finally, a voice of reason.
There are two things at work on this very long thread: people are going to rant and rave and lash out at religion (and frequently become as intolerant as they say Christians are), and they're going to rant and rave and lash out at Tim Tebow, who's done nothing except work hard to become a great college football player, and doing it the right way every step.
And I'm waiting for someone to produce any evidence that Tebow preaches to them or "forces" his beliefs on anyone. As I've said before, he talks about how he lives his life. I've never seen him tell anyone how they should live their life.
