Are you really equating the people who work for Gay rights and Civil rights to the Mafia?

What is so abhorrent about gay people to you? What is it that makes you not like them?

You always say "the tolerance and diversity crowd," what is it about tolerance and diversity that frightens you?

But you're still mistaking "homophobe" for anyone who doesn't hold with the homosexual lifestyle. It may be a fact that all homophobes are bigots. But not all people opposed to gay marriage, etc., are homophobes. I have no doubt, however, that you will keep telling yourself that.

I'd have to agree. Most people will skip right by this ad to the next GoDaddy ad, anyway. It'll pretty much be a non-factor unless the wingnut fringe gets to play the martyr card. They're pretty good at that.

Sorry, but it's my belief that sexual preference isn't the same as skin color or gender. Go to a black church and try to sell that bill of goods. They're getting pretty tired of people equating gay rights with the Civil Rights movement.

Most homophobes don't know a gay person and have never met one, I'm guessing. They just swallow what some preacher tells them to think, and that's that.

    Know any gays, Zag?

If it's a preference, then please identify for us the day you decided you preferred to be heterosexual, hondo.

The first time I saw Mary Tyler Moore in black stretch pants on the Dick Van Dyke Show.

It's not a preference, but that's not a good argument.

What the fuck is the homosexual lifestyle you keep yapping about ? Do you KNOW any gay people?

If people are against gay marriage, then they want to deny certain people rights that others have. So, if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck....

    Why not?

Hondo thinks it's okay to be gay as long as you don't acknowledge your homosexuality by living the "homosexual lifestyle". That seems to be the majority position among conservatives -- Foley, Craig, Haggard, etc.

Most people who refer to the "gay lifestyle" are pointing to the extremes of the movement, I think ... the folks who can be found displaying their freakish excesses at the parades and such.

The vast majority of gays and lesbians lead quiet, normal lives.
