It's silly. Groups like NOW stir the base, but don't attack the real issue. Pro-life groups would not tell a woman not to have their tubes tied. If they did, that would be offensive to women. But in this case, the issue is whether the fetus is alive or not. NOW swings and misses every time it starts demonizing the other side, because it skips right over their core belief. Pro-lifers are just as guilty.

People are absolutely incapable of realizing that an opponent is coming from a different worldview than them. They argue from their own worldview, which gets nowhere.

 

Wouldn't the doctor be in the Philippines? Do they have the same confidentiality laws that we do? (Of course, it could make the doc harder to track down.)

 

Can we please stop using the euphemism "pro-life" and use the appropriate term:
ANTI-ABORTION.

Do you really know anyone who is against life?

 

Except that changes the focus from the life lost to a simple procedure.

 

I'm not going to weigh in on the abortion issue but what I'm wondering why the NFL is accepting this ad to run during Super Bowl but have rejected several others.

It's a fair question, which I think can be answered with the fact an exclusive club of rich, older, white guys run the league, and that demographic tends to lean right

 

Waylon is spot-on here. The problem with people on both sides of the abortion issues is that they don't talk or discuss. They merely scream at each other.

 

A writer friend has on his FB page that some woman screamed at Tebow "We wish your mother aborted you."

I'm pro-choice and that's fucking harsh.
