Don't you think the real reason CBS accepted the ad is because the game isn't sold out & FOTF is paying full rate card for the ad?

If the economy was strong & advertisers were lined up to get in the broadcast, CBS would reject the ad.

But that's not the case, so CBS wants the money. That's what's going on here, not some ideology based decision.

That's not true at all. Who has said they are offended when a woman is given the choice and she chooses to keep the child? Find one. Back up your point.

If she is ignoring doctors' advice, we may question her wisdom, but I don''t know of anybody who is offended by that choice. What many of us are offended by is the attempts to take that choice away.

The most accurate labels truly are pro-choice and anti-abortion. There are plenty of people who believe in a woman's right to choose, yet disagree with choosing abortions. I am one. I don't know anybody on the pro-choice side who is actually against choosing life.

And yet this thread is on Page 27 with mostly lefties commenting, and unhappy with the Tebow family's choice.

Are you kidding? I haven't seen anyone on here say they are unhappy with Pam Tebow's choice to have Tim.

I may be unhappy with the Tebows choice to align themselves with Focus on the Family, with CBS for now deciding advocacy ads are OK when they weren't before, and with people who want to stop others from having the right to choose, but not one person on here has said they were angry that Pam chose to have another child.

Agree with Peytons Place. Who here has written they're unhappy with the Tebow's family choice? In all the discussions about this issue, I've never heard anybody say that, either.

I for one am glad the Tebows were allowed to make a choice.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there hasn't even been a joking post suggesting that things would have been better if Tim had been aborted. And in this of all places ...

But if you'd like to point out even one such post, you're welcome to.

Not one person has said they are unhappy about Pam Tebow's choice. Not one. Now let's see you try to back your point up for once rather than just making up false assertions about what the other side is saying.

  8. Tony's just rabble rousing. He knows no one said that or thinks that. If I'm a pro-choice person, I love people like Tony because they don't make real arguments that would possibly have any impact on the law.

Interesting blog I read at rhrealitycheck.org, which makes note that abortion is illegal in the Philippines. If you look it up, it seems to have been illegal since 1930 and still is, and punishable by jail time for the woman who has it and anyone (family member, doctor, etc.) who assists in someone obtaining one. The law also doesn't seem to have an exclusion even for the health of the mother. No one seems to have even asked the Tebows about this.

If no one on this thread said they are unhappy with Pam Tebow's choice, and if no one at NOW is unhappy with her choice (which has been stated), why the hell does anyone care if the commercial airs?

  11. You know why, Hondo. Because it's an anti-abortion rights ad. And, on top of that, Focus on the Family has a discriminatory anti-gay agenda.

Interesting. So Mrs. Tebow's "choice" was the only one legally available to her at the time.
