Like I said, yhey're in a losing streak right now. It happens in an 82 game season. It easy to say what you're saying now, but once they start rolling again, they'll get right back at it. By the end of the season, they'll have 40+ wins and they will surprise a team in the playoffs.
And again, stop the Kobe ball hog stuff. If you would just watch the games, you could see that he has changed(on the court).
Your "If Bryant didn't win the award when his team was winning NBA titles, why would he win it now?" is a weak one because during that time:
    1. He was playing with one of the greatest centers of all time during his(shaq's) prime.
    2. He isn't nearly the player he was then as he is now.

40+ wins. Well end the voting right now. Screw Nash's 60+ wins and Dirk's 60+ wins. Forty-plus wins!!!!

That's not an argument. So I'll ask again: If Bryant didn't win the award when his team was winning NBA titles, why would he win it now?

His team has 33 wins. How much value can he have? 11 teams in the league have a better record than that. It's only 17 wins above the worst team in the league, for the love of god. Simple math would tell you that over 60 games, a completely average NBA team would have 30 wins. The Lakers have 33 in 64. Where are you finding the value?

He leads the league in NO major statistical categories, and is truly near the top only in PPG. Which is more than mitigated by his shot attempts.

Kobe Bryant is a talented player who is more than happy to play on a mediocre team so he can shoot whenever he wants. That does not come close to making him the most valuable player in a league full of fantastic basketball players whose TEAMS ALSO WIN GAMES.

Not close. Take off the fanboy glasses.

The reason he "isn't nearly the player he was then as he is now" was that he forced the Lakers to get rid of the guy that commanded double-teams, allowing Kobe to get off whenever he felt like it.

Oh, they ain't surprising anyone in the playoffs. Not with the roster than he stumped for.

This thread is more boring to me than what a nightclub with Eddie and Charlie Murphy is for Prince.

No no, not at all. If you want to give them The "Player with the most wins" Award, go right ahead.
