"Pwned" is supposed to be one bigger than "owned." As in, power-owned.

From the ones who brought you "leet."

    'Aint's that the truth! :)

    Sorry, F_B, couldn't resist.

Ellis - That was cheap, but highly effective. And since I can't
stand Jesus in Cleats, it was also personally gratifying.

UT - Thanks. I took off right before that question got asked.

Aw, you mean that was unintentional?

I thought you were referring to F_B's Saints (my "Aint's") getting 'pwned' by the Bears in the NFC Championship game. :)

Spnited - I missed you, too.

No, I've just seen him use it before. I figured he knew what it meant.

Add another to rokski's failed assumption list.

Further reaction in the wake of the Mavs-Lakers carnage

    - ESPN's Greg Anthony says that Kobe's beaten visage during the
smackdown reminded him of his own days in Vancouver:

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/dailydime?page=dailydime-070312

Surprisingly, no written word yet from Ric Bucher on Sunday's
    historic proceedings.

    - Meanwhile, over at at the well-run (and thankfully, redesigned)
LA Times' Lakers blog, Ko'Bowe's non-suspension draws cheers:

    http://lakersblog.latimes.com/lakersblog/2007/03/flagrant_woohoo.html

I guess you have to take your celebrations where you can get them.

Many of the fans on the blog are openly panicking, some even venturing into the blasphemous territory of suggesting Ko'Bowe be traded.

    40+ wins.

    Again, simple math.

An AVERAGE NBA team should win 41 games. What exactly is the value Kobe is adding?

Is it just me or does the insistence of some people to use terms like "pwned" annoy most of humanity?

One of the most depressing parts of growing up is when you make that slow and unnoticed transition from being one of those "crazy kids" to being the one saying "you crazy kids."

Sadly, I'm apparently almost in the second camp, now. :(
