Tell me something that's good about being single

For some reason "One Night in Bangkok" is running through my head, and I don't know why.

 

I am similarly mystified.

I enjoy being single. Maybe so much that I fool myself into thinking I can't commit to any sort of girl I've dated in the last three years. #sigh

 

This is one thing that will set me off faster than anything else and helped destroy the last couple of relationships I was in. People wonder why I haven't even gone on a date in eight years. Here's why.

You want me to do something? Ask me.
You want my opinion? Ask me.
You want to go somewhere? Say so.
You don't like something I do? Tell me (but don't expect me to change my entire lifestyle because my color scheme clashes).

Don't give me shit about "not getting it" or anything like that. I'm not a fucking mind reader. I do not "read signals." I will NOT suddenly understand just why your world has turned to shit without a little input from you.

If you're dating someone who is into this passive-aggressive shit, seriously evaluate why they are, and if they're really worth it. Because it will make your life miserable.

One more thing. If you are pissed off, and all you do is sit there and smolder rather than address the problem, then you deserve whatever lack of assistance you get. (Speaking, of course, to the "other" person.)
