We each do our own laundry here, same as we always did. If my clothes shrink or change colors, it's my own damn fault.

 

Eighteen loads of laundry? Good freaking grief.

I really have no issues with doing laundry. Beats the alternative, and I had one roommate who didn't do laundry very often. Nothing like lingering body odor ... and it's not walking out the door to help freshen the air.

I've done my own laundry. I've done my parents' laundry. I've done friends' laundry ... and no, no ulterior motives. She needed a place to do laundry and some garments were a pain in the butt. No bras, though. Thank goodness ...

 

I wake up in the morning and go through my routine of rubbing the eyes, scratching, and sounding the air horn. I can stumble into the bathroom and take care of business. I enjoy being able to do all of that and know the bathroom is always open. No waiting for someone to get out for my morning superman. I don't need to worry about pesky things like shutting the doors.

That said, I'm on the cusp of announcing my intent to withdraw my stake on the proud land of bachelorhood and losing such comforts of easy access to bathroom destruction is worth it.

 

Dang, I was just about to type "Sitting on the can for a half-hour with a good book without feeling self-conscious," but I bow to your superior rhetoric, good sir.

 

We do our own laundry for the most part. I don't mind laundry as a chore at all though, so sometimes I'll do his too.

But on a more serious note, I was married once. Wasn't great. Had a LTR. Wasn't great, brought out the worst in me.
