I don't think this is a bad move for the Raiders or Pryor.

He probably went a round higher than he should, but it's not like they gave up a No. 1 for him.

No. 1 is all that the Raiders pretty much have right now ... they traded their 2012 second-round pick to New England and fourth-round pick to Washington.

The Raiders will take whoever ran the fastest 40 at the combine with their first-round pick next year. Then, they'll make completely meaningless 5th, 6th, and 7th round picks a couple days later. If they even have them by then.

At this point, how does anybody know whether Hue Jackson is a hell of a coach or not?

If he is willing to take the Raider job, Hue Jackson is probably pretty sure that Hue Jackson isn't much of a coach and won't get another opportunity.

If you can run fast, the Raiders want you. Period.

If Pryor had declared for April's draft and a team took him in the third round, do you think people would be screaming what a reach it was?

Well, first off, "a team" wouldn't have taken him in the 3rd round. Only the Raiders. But yes, it would have been a reach. Just like it is now.

I think it's a slight reach. It's not like taking Tebow in the first round.

He's not quick enough to be a receiver, not tough enough to be a tight end and not skilled enough to be a quarterback. He's a poor man's Ronald Curry. He'll be out of the NFL by 2014, and it'll only be that long because the game passed Al Davis by about the time Gremlins came out.
