Especially since none of the gun laws thrown around every time the gun debate comes around would do anything to stop any of those scenarios.

They would just make it harder for law abiding citizens to own guns and protect themselves.

I just love that he's against all people shooting each other except "wannabe thugs." Perfectly acceptable for them to shoot each other.

You do realize that weight isn't the only factor that determines the impact of alcohol on the human body, right? Also, you are aware that there are large people who aren't fat?

I know. That darn science stuff again.

That is such bullshit, it can take some people up to 8 drinks to get .08.

I actually agree with you when it comes to texting, I don't think Zags saying its not dangerous but do we really want to live in a world where there is an app for this shit? There are laws for distracted driving, enforce them.

I think it's worse that there are fucking morons on here that actually believe it is safe to text and drive.

  6. Eight girl drinks?

8 beers in 4 hours for a 200 pound man will barely get you to .08.

Obviously there are a lot of variables but imagine what it takes a bigger man who is used to drinking.

There is no such thing as being "used to drinking." You cannot train your liver to break down alcohol faster. The fact that you "feel" fine does not mean that you are.

When did libertarians get so pissed? Can we get some pot-smoking libertarians up in here?

Everyone who is for laws banning texting and driving but has a radio (you take your eye off the road to change the volume, the station or the CD) or heater (you take your eye off the road to adjust the temperature or fan speed) in their car is a fucking hypocrite.

This is bullshit on so many levels.

Now if you said that anybody who adjusts the temperature or radio station in their car while driving is a hypocrite, that might come close to making sense, but you didn't. You just wanted to attack people for daring to suggest a new law against anything.

Now please show us the data proving that changing radio stations or adjusting the temperature in a car is as dangerous as texting while driving. We'll wait. I'm sure you must have it handy or you wouldn't have made such a definitive statement.
