The 10,000-hour rule

    The 10,000 Hour Rule is coming in for particularly heavy criticism from doctors, trainers and others. They are seeing the effects on adolescent athletes whose parents believed it and applied it.

    I spent about 10,000 hours doing "something" as a teen and young adult, and I'm a damn expert at it. Gladwell must be right.
