Silly Season makes its return to late spring with this nugget:

BK would replace Newman in the 6.

It didn't work for most of them in the 1990s. Maybe the lower costs help? I wonder how Brad will feel once he blows a lot of his money.

DW, etc. pretty much to a man said you drive differently when in the back of your mind you know you are going to be the person paying to fix it.

Didn't Rusty own part of the 2 team at some point? Penske is in his 80s, you'd think giving Keselowski X percent would be doable. Make it like a Jeff Gordon-at-Hendrick situation.

It’s a partial ownership deal, if I’m reading it correctly. Kind of like Smoke at Stewart-Hass, which has worked out OK.

That was some fun racin' yesterday in the rain. I realize the car is really the star in most motor sports - engine, handling etc - but really nice seeing some real driving.

The Cole Custer/Kevin Harvick wreck was one of those "luck meets safety and safety wins" scenarios. Man, that was a scary situation that didn't need to happen. NASCAR could have/should have determined the track was unraceable well before that. But TV time/track rentals wag the dog.

Whether or not this is true, I do know for a fact that this is a prime example of not only burying the lede but also one of the worst ledes ever written.

"2004 NASCAR Cup Series Champion, and 2017 DAYTONA 500 Champion, Kurt Busch released a video along with his sponsor, Monster Energy, earlier in the weekend teasing what the future may be for Kurt Busch following the 2021 season."

According to the thing at the bottom of the page, the site is part of the “NASCAR Digital Media Network.” So are MRN and Jayski.

Citizen journalists! (I saw where Jenna was complaining on Twitter last week about a bunch of people in the media center not actually asking questions during interviews. Instead, they were posting the driver responses online from the few actual credentialed folks. That could have been Indy, but the same goes for pretty much every series now.)
