The rehabilitation of Kyle Larson from the nadir of a year ago has been astounding. Any chance Ganassi regrets that move?

Smells of Humpy being more of Bruton's guy and not Marcus's. But the split seemed to be an issue of Humpy and Bruton wanting more credit for their motorsports accomplishments (i.e., the egotistical whizzing contest).

No. He said something racial and awful. IMO, to hang onto him could easily have been construed as being an enabler.

Didn't Larson undergo sessions and the whole nine years before Hendrick brought him on board? (And yes, perhaps Ganassi could have doled out a long suspension, found a driver to fill his seat during the interim – assuming the sponsor(s) would agree to Larson's punishment – and bring him back when he had completed his punishment/sentence, shown contrition, moved on, etc. But I won't point the finger at Ganassi for making a regretful move.)

Although I do give the network credit for throwing a ... wait for it ... wrench ... into things.

Don't you think that sounds like Humpy? I certainly do.

Humpy was the PT Barnum of NASCAR.

He wouldn’t be as successful. Ganassi is behind Hendrick in the Chevy pecking order. Maybe behind RCR, too.

Dale Jr. had as his podcast guest last week the only person who ever really spoke with the force of his father. Ty Norris was Dale Earnhardt’s major domo at DEI and tried to keep things together after Earnhardt died … and then they got to the day of the 2003 DEI Christmas party. If you ever wondered why that all went to shit, it started on that day in December.

Just one more notch on the “piss on Teresa Earnhardt” stick.
It’s a shame what she destroyed.

Junior had Kerry Earnhardt on the podcast a week earlier. Kerry said that *hours* after his dad died, that same night, he was told that his ARCA ride was gone and that Teresa was behind it.

I really hate that bitch, and I say that as someone who didn’t like Dale as a NASCAR fan and working writer at the time.
She deserves most of the credit for creating the Earnhardt “brand” from what I’ve always understood, but she killed a racing legacy.

When was she last seen or heard from?

I think it was when she sued Kerry Earnhardt for putting his surname on a business he was starting.
