I remember something about her shacking up with Paul Menard’s dad and trying to sell Earnhardt’s boat. Other than that, I couldn’t say.
Oh, and at one point she wanted Kannapolis to pay her royalties because the town put up a statue to honor Dale.

Watching SRX. Danica Patrick is horrible as an analyst. I’m not a fan of the manufactured yellows, but at least they are honest about why they throw them. Her point about NASCAR’s phantom cautions is pretty much the only worthwhile thing she’s said.

I thought she was really bad last night, too. She -very weirdly - seemed to be trying to toe some line of analyst and, "I really don't know anything about cars." She sounded extremely unprepared.

She would've been a lot more interesting actually driving last night.

That said, while I enjoyed the story of the local all-star winning and beating some giants, it never really seemed all that racey, did it? I watched the last 50 laps and I'm not sure I saw more than a pass or two. Am I wrong?

I wonder if she had an offer to drive, that certainly would have helped create buzz. But driving poorly probably wouldn't be good for her brand these days, so she took the booth. Not surprised she was bad, I can't picture her putting in any prep or working the garages.

Nashville Superspeedway cost $125 million in 2001 ($190 million in 2021) to build. They're finally getting a Cup date. The Dover folks took a bath on that place.

Somehow I had it in my head they were trying to put that race back in town at the Fairgrounds, not at the edge of the universe on the Wilson-Rutherford county line. Glad I’m not going to see my parents this weekend.

Chase Elliott whining on social media about how unfair it was for NASCAR to enforce their rule about having tight lugnuts, given that FIVE were loose upon post-race inspection. And Knaus is using the "vibration caused it" excuse.

    1. The rule is clear. Your "what if?" scenario doesn't hold water.
    2. An unsecured tire is not only a danger to your car, but the competitors and spectators. Serious consequences worse than you losing points.
    3. I'll bet your guys won't pull that stunt again. (However, it's Hendrick, so ...)

For it being a Kyle Larson ass-whooping, that race yesterday wasn't horrible. I enjoyed the unpredictability of it. Also, maybe they should pay more attention to the Hendrick fuel cells than the lugnuts.

How was the crowd size? I heard there were traffic problems. Go figure.

Heard some rumors about this a couple weeks ago.

Always thought when Ricky was killed in the plane crash at Martinsville that Wonder Boy would eventually assume control of Hendrick's racing operation if he wanted it. He was the logical choice, having been assigned ownership of the No. 48 while still racing.
