    In the end, neither approach worked long-term, but the Nats still got a title with them. Good thing too cause that window slammed shut in 2019.

    What I remember about him was that later in his Cubs tenure, Harry Caray would constantly rip him on the air. I think it was written about in Chicago's media.

    Sort of eerie timing here...the last bit in the news and notes was about Storm Davis throwing more wild pitches in a two-pitch span than Dick Hall did in his entire 16-year career. Hall died on Sunday.

    A high priority for them as the deadline nears should be some lockdown middle relief to go with Cano and Bautista on the back end.
