FWIW, I've heard Holliday is a terrific kid. Most of the O's seem like really good & mature kids, which is sort of surprising given they were drafted & developed by folks from the fuck it we love bad people Astros tree. Obviously those teams won big too but I like a mature young team to maybe exceed expectations during its first playoff run.

Yanks just blew a four-run lead in the ninth to the Marlins and lost 8-7.

Holmes couldn’t find the plate and when he did, he got hit. Kahnle wasn’t able to bail him out.

This team just is excruciating to watch. Boone’s gotta go.

At almost the same time in DC, the A's blew a 7-2 lead to the National League Baseball Club LLC. A two-out, ninth-inning error tied it and colossal bust Jeter Downs followed with a GW hit.

I think it might be bigger news when the A’s don’t blow a 7-2 lead.

Cedric Mullins just scaled a 10-foot wall to pull back a Ty France home run. Followed by Dominic Canzone's first home run to tie the game 3-3 in the 9th.

These last two games between the O’s and M’s have been outstanding. Playoff preview?

And then Mullins yanks one out in the top of the 10th? This is too much.

For Mariners fans, last night’s result was a fitting tribute to Felix Hernandez: Seattle’s starting pitcher dominated for nine innings. The offense does nothing. M’s lose.

Felix knew that outcome quite well when he pitched.

The Rockies turned three double plays against the Dodgers on Thursday. I'm not sure whether it's a tongue-twister or an alliteration gone mad.

    DP3 (Toglia-Tovar-Toglia; Tovar-Trejo-Toglia; Trejo-Toglia).

Looks like Tampa can’t send Wander Franco to the minors …
