Since a sweep at the Angels in early June, the Cubs are 38-23, so I'd say they're trying.

They may not get there. But they're trying.

The best part is you know their PR people were like, you need to get out there after the Kevin Brown fiasco and he made it 100 times worst.

Seriously. The last two times the Orioles have had a Monday off day, this dickbag runs his yap and pisses all over the parade.

If this would have happened from 1962-65, O'Malley would have claimed it happened on the day of an Angels home game so they are responsible for the cleanup costs.

Kyle Schwarber has 33 home runs and a minus-0.6 WAR.

    Try that at home.

    A modern-day Rob Deer/Dave Kingman.

Throw in a little Joey Gallo for good measure.

Kingman finished with 17.3 WAR, which seems about right for a guy who played forever and couldn't play a lick of defense. But Deer finished at 13.8 with barely half as many homers. I guess he was OK on defense?

Schwarber is at 10.6, which means there's a non-zero chance he ends up with less WAR then either Kingman OR Deer. He's at -2.3 defensive WAR this year, which holy fuck, that should be impossible.

One thing he'll always have more of than either of them: a ring.

He was on the Cubs, who came back from a 3-1 deficit to defeat Cleveland. People forget that.
