Not bad for a 50-year-old future Pro Football Hall of Famer.

Wow, that's some fantastic auto-correct fail! Or just plain ol' user error

Of course I meant Andrew Benintendi, who when he's not playing outfield for the White Sox probably can boot an extra point or two.

I understand he was World Series MVP and they'll always have that to celebrate, but a new $245,000,000 deal for a guy past his 30th birthday struck me as a bit of a gamble at the time.

    Astros' JP France:
    June: 33 IP, 9 ER
    July: 31.1 IP, 8 ER
    Aug. 1-23: 18.2 IP, 4 ER
    Aug. 24: 2.1 IP, 10 ER

The poor guy's ERA for the season went from 2.75 to 3.5 in less than an hour.

With no insurance policy, to boot.

I got to see him a few times on his way up. Everything he threw was breathtaking when he was at full strength.

Yup. They screwed him pretty good by leaving him out there to take that beating.

Apparently they were dealing with bullpen issues based on usage so far this week and they were hoping he could give them some length and were trying to push him as long as they could.

[Snark] Man, such a good thing they didn't pitch him against St. Louis in the playoffs. That really extended his career. [Snark Off]

Wacha and several others have had thorascic outlet syndrome and come back from it. Perhaps Strasburg's is worse.
