    Who has lost more in career earnings in the past month, Shohei Ohtani, Wander Franco or Julio Urias? At least Sho wasn’t self inflicted and potentially criminal.

    Franco, and it’s not close.

    Ohtani will still be in demand as a slugger. Urías was never going to make it huge — I expected him to blow out his elbow in September. Franco, though? Starting in ‘26, he was in line to make bank. That’s all gone.

    I wonder how many English speakers learn to be bilingual in Spanish, especially baseball writers.
