I mean, his fifth season and third straight winning 100 or more games. None has resulted in World Series wins. The one WS title came after a 60-game season, which is round about when the Dodgers hit their regular season stride.

I’ll take my lumps if I’m wrong, but at some point actually winning a title has to be important. But the hell do I know? I’ll most likely have to eat my words when he suits up in Dodger blue next February.

At some point, the checkbooks have to say “I can get Ned Yost to win 100 games. I need a trophy.”

Once again, Dodgers prove that they are built for 162 but not a short series.
They are great when they can maneuver and use all 40 players plus, moving guys to the IL and minors, but they can’t put it together for a five- or seven-game series.
As shitty as the starters were, this was on the bats. They had chances in the last two games and choked in the clutch. Betts and Freeman were awful.

Not so fun when Mitch Williams & Co. were coughing up a 14-8 lead to the Blue Jays in the cold, rainy 1993 WS.
