I know I can be heartless, but the annual Stand up to Cancer moment would be more meaningful if it wasn’t sponsored and appeared to be forced.

 

This game is a reminder of what confuses us old timers, why not squeeze more out of Heaney? Rangers are up 9 runs with a game tomorrow and they won’t use him again before Sunday.
Heaney can be horrid, but he can be good and has been tonight.
Get another inning or so out of him and save a bullpen arm.

this gets tiresome as if analytics are new to baseball and only a few teams use them. We will be seeing the same response in 2040

The tiresome thing is computers are good at game planning but they’re terrible at reacting to what is going on yet teams stick with what they computers say. We have the data, so sure use it. We’re also have experience why not use it too. Not instead of but too.
