I'm not so sure, but they may have managed something the Dodgers couldn't do the last three seasons. They are getting some production out of Cody Bellinger.

Also, Stroman and Justin Steele have been superb in the rotation.

I just looked at the Cubs box for today, damn everyone is hitting the cover off the ball. What happened on the North Side? 12-7?

Speaking of rookies and shoulders, Angels catcher Logan O'Hoppe, whom the organization's very high on and had gotten off to a good start, is on the IL with a shoulder inflammation. He grabbed his shoulder in pain after a swing Sunday or Monday at Boston, but stayed in, and then yesterday he felt pain again swinging against the Yankees. O'Hoppe is the guy they got from the Phillies in the deadline trade last July for Brandon Marsh.

Angels place rookie catcher O'Hoppe on IL

Pete Alonso off to a scorching start. Cracked his 10th, Mets record already for April.

Gotta think they’ll do everything they can to lock him up before free agency, which I think is after the 2024 season.

Royals match A’s for worst record. Supposedly, they are trying.

The breaking pitches Othani was throwing last night were unfair.

Ohtani pitching against the Royals is unfair.

The timing really sucks for Mitchell, who had been decent before getting hurt. The Brewers have three more outfield rookies/prospects who could get a shot this season, so Mitchell could be left without a spot next season. Mitchell is a big guy with great speed. He is an outstanding defender, but he has always put too many balls on the ground to take advantage of his power potential. He seemed to be figuring that out, showing some power in Spring Training and hitting three home runs early this season.

The Brewers are having a tough time with injuries. They lost Luis Urias on opening day with a hamstring injury that will likely keep him out until June and Brandon Woodruff is also expected to be out until then with a shoulder strain.
